Enjoy life, don’t just survive it.
Get out of your anxious mind and get in to your present self.
Treatment modalities
Let’s talk, then do something about it. I believe therapy is about talking and about doing.
-
EMDR takes the lies you believe about yourself because of past experiences, and replaces them with something positive and true! Through processing, EMDR can take a phrase like, “I am unlovable.” and turn it into, “I am lovable regardless.” This is done by choosing a memory where you felt that way, and using bilateral stimulation to change the way your brain stores this memory. It is also used to help memories not trigger emotional responses in such massive ways.

Did you know that attachment informs our daily lives constantly? Attachment can take a situation that is objectively normal and make us spiral out of control. For instance, if we feel like the world ends if our partner asks for space after an argument, that is a response because of an attachment pattern.

Did you know that there is a nerve that tells our bodies when to be calm? This nerve is called the vagus nerve and it is responsible for telling our bodies that everything is okay and that we should be calm. This nerve is central to how we feel and if you are someone who gets panic attacks, learning how to activate your vagus nerve, is paramount.
Processing the past, helps us to be present now, and in the future. If we are living in the past, this will bring burnout, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and identity difficulties. If we only know who we are in the context of hardship, we will lose our authentic selves.
Unprocessed trauma ties us down.
Do you feel like your past is consistently getting in the way of the present? Is your day a constant game of managing panic attacks and negative flashbacks? Think of what you would do without the weight of the past ingrained in the future.
